On 10 April 2026, members of IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT participated in the Rangamati Exploration Tour 2026, a full-day educational and recreational excursion aimed at exploring the natural beauty, cultural diversity, and historical significance of the Chattogram Hill Tracts. The journey commenced from the university campus, bringing together participants for a memorable experience of learning, adventure, and fellowship.
The tour included visits to several renowned attractions of Rangamati. Participants enjoyed a scenic boat journey across the breathtaking Kaptai Lake, one of the largest man-made lakes in South Asia. They also explored both the Big and Small Shuvolong Waterfalls, experiencing the serene beauty of nature and the unique landscape of the hill region.
To gain insights into the local culture and traditions, members visited the Indigenous Market, where they observed and interacted with local communities and explored traditional handicrafts and products. The group also visited a Buddhist Temple, learning about the spiritual and cultural heritage of the region.
Other highlights of the tour included visits to the iconic Hanging Bridge, the most recognized landmark of Rangamati, Polwel Park, known for its picturesque environment, and the Shaheed Minar, a symbol of remembrance and national pride.
The tour provided participants with valuable opportunities to appreciate Bangladesh’s cultural diversity, natural resources, and tourism potential while strengthening friendship, teamwork, and organizational bonding among members. The Rangamati Exploration Tour 2026 successfully combined education, cultural exposure, and recreation, making it a memorable experience for all participants.
