Who We Are

Our History

IAAS Bangladesh was established on October 10th, 2017 and it was initiated by Md. Jahidul Islam Sajal and his friends.


- In 2017 KUAAS joined to IAAS World and continued its journey as IAAS Bangladesh.


- In 2018 IAAS Bangladesh PSTU joined as the second local committee with IAAS Bangladesh and the first National Board was formed and Md. Jahidul Islam was the first Director.


- In 2019, the Second National Board 2019-20 was formed, and Md. Tangimul Islam was elected as Second National Director.


- In 2020, 8 new Local committees joined IAAS Bangladesh, and the first National Congress was arranged that year and was held on Online platform and arranged by NB 2019-20. The third National Board 2020-21 was published and Saleha Khatun Ripta was selected as National Director.


- Krishikolpo 1st (August) and 2nd (November) Issues were published by IAAS Bangladesh.


- In 2021, IAAS Bangladesh BAU joined as the 11th Local Committee of IAAS Bangladesh. The second National Congress was arranged by NB 2020-21. The fourth National Board 2021-22 was published and Md. Asaduzzaman Nur was elected as National Director, later due to the inactivity of Nur, Mahadi Hasan Tushar was selected as National Director.


- Krishikolpo 3rd (August) Issue was published by IAAS Bangladesh.
IAAS Bangladesh’s official website was published.


- In 2022, IAAS Bangladesh KAU joined as the 12th Local Committee of IAAS Bangladesh. The Third National Congress was arranged at Sher-E-Bangla Agricultural University (the first offline National Congress), by NB 2021-22, and hosted by IAAS Bangladesh SAU-Dhaka. The 5th National Board was elected and Zabnatun Naium Shoma was elected as National Director.


- Krishikolpo 4th (December) Issue was published by IAAS Bangladesh.


- In 2023, ICYA 2023 Asia Pacific was successfully arranged by NB 2022-23 and hosted by Bangladesh HSTU.


- In November 2023, 4th IAAS Bangladesh National Congress was successfully arranged by IAAS Bangladesh PSTU.


- In December 2023, S. M. Riaz-us Saleheen was elected as National Director for the tenure of 2023-24.


- In July 2024, the 67th IAAS World Congress was held in Bangladesh and arranged by IAAS Bangladesh BAU, IAAS Bangladesh PSTU and KUAAS combinely.


- In September 2024, Due to selection as VPC of IAAS World S. M. Riaz-us Saleheen resigned as National Director and Fahad Khan the then RPDO was selected as interim National Director


- In October 2024, IAAS Scientific Event 2024 in Bangladesh was successfully arranged by IAAS Bangladesh BSMRSTU. (Continue)
