On July 19, Fisheries faculty members of IAAS Bangladesh PSTU joined a field visit under the Exchange Team, guided by Professor Dr. Md. Sazedull Hoque. The day started with a look at Greenhouse Fish Dryer technology — a solar-based system for processing dried fish without dust, insects, or weather damage. From there, the team visited Mohipur Fish Landing Center, then Mohipur Shutki Polli, where Dr. Hoque ran a live training session for local processors on producing chemical-free dried fish — covering fish selection, gutting, washing, turmeric application, and hygienic drying. Members participated directly, and local processors demonstrated each step afterward. Under-construction Greenhouse Dryer units at the site suggested the method is already gaining ground. The day ended at Kuakata beach — a fitting close to a session that packed in more practical learning than most classroom weeks manage.
