Educational field visit & Seminar at the BARI

IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT successfully organized an educational field visit to the Farm Machinery and Postharvest Process Engineering Division of the Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI), Gazipur. The visit was conducted with the objective of enhancing participants’ practical knowledge and understanding of modern postharvest technologies and value-added agricultural processing. The delegation was led by Prof. Dr. Engr. Md. Salim Ullah Khan Eusufzai, Advisor of IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT. Members of the Executive Board (EB), Control Board (CB), Quality Board (QB), and general members actively participated in the program.

The event featured three informative seminars focusing on postharvest management technologies and value-added processing techniques for mango, jackfruit, and other agricultural crops. The sessions provided participants with valuable insights into innovative approaches to reducing postharvest losses, improving product quality, and enhancing agricultural value chains.

The program was honored by the presence of Dr. Md. Nurul Amin, Chief Scientific Officer of the Farm Machinery and Postharvest Process Engineering Division, BARI, who attended as the Chief Guest. During the sessions, participants had the opportunity to interact with researchers and experts, gaining firsthand knowledge of advanced technologies and research activities conducted by the division.

The field visit served as an effective platform for experiential learning, enabling participants to bridge theoretical knowledge with practical applications in postharvest technology and food processing. The program significantly contributed to the academic and professional development of the participants and strengthened the collaboration between IAAS Bangladesh IUBAT and BARI..
