  • Description of the Project: The coastal region of Patuakhali, Bangladesh faces challenges such as saltwater intrusion, waterlogging, and climate variability, negatively impacting agricultural productivity and food security. Additionally, women in agriculture (43% of the workforce) remain underrecognized and untrained in modern techniques.

    • Project Noyagram targets 30 women from medium- to large-sized families, providing hands-on training in climate-resilient agriculture and aquaponics.

    • A women-led homestead agriculture school will be established, allowing participants to learn innovative farming methods, soil salinity management, and waterlogged land cultivation.

    • Collaboration with Patuakhali Science and Technology University, government extension workers, and agricultural experts ensures practical research-backed solutions for sustainable development.

    • The initiative aims to integrate farming and aquaculture, enhancing livelihoods, economic independence, and food security for women in coastal Bangladesh.
